Dr. Pankaj Lochan Sarma is the Chief Psychiatrist at GPH. A graduate of Assam Medical College, he earned his D.P.M. degree from the Central Institute of Psychiatry, Ranchi, and his M.D. in Psychiatry from NIMHANS, Bengaluru.
Dr. Sarma is a prolific writer in the field of public education on psychiatric disorders. He has authored three books on psychiatry, served as the editor of the Assamese monthly 'Manor Khabor', and regularly contributes to Assamese periodicals.
Dr. Pankaj Lochan Sarma is associated with several social organizations. He is the Founder Chairman of Saivikash Educational Institute, the first institute in Northeast India to introduce an integrated teaching and coaching model for higher secondary education.
